Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah on Tuesday warned the bus staff not to pester the holidaymakers ahead of Eid-Ul-Fitr likely to be held on June 5.
If anyone takes extra charge from the passengers then he will face stern action. Even he may be punished for committing
offence by conducting a mobile court instantly. The DMP chief made the comment at a view exchange meeting with the leaders of bus owners and workers at Seyedabad Bus Terminal in the morning.
He warned that no driver will get chance to drive the car without documents of vehicle’s fitness certificate and valid driving license.
Asaduzzaaman Miah urged the drivers to ply vehicles by taking extra care to avert any untoward accident.
The bus owners should not hand over their vehicles to the addicted drivers. If they find any confusion over taking drugs of the drivers and the helpers then they should arrange dope test with the help of the police, he added.
He also mentioned that no bus will park in the terminals or bus stands after the crossing of yellow mark.
In a query, he said that the city police have taken massive security arrangements ahead of the Eid.
