The uncle was killed on when his nephew charged bamboo made stick (lathi) on his head at Kanyadah village of Harainakundu upazila in Jhenaidah on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam, 50, son of Azibar Mandal of the village.
Harinakundu police officer in charge (Investigation) Asaduzzaman said, the nephew Imtiaz Hossain hit his uncle Rabiul on head with a bamboo made stick following family feud. The injured was rushed Jhenaidah Sdar hospital and referred to Dhaka medical college hospital. Rabiul succumbs to his injuries on the way.
A case was filed with Harinakundu police station in this connection and the body was sent to Jhenaidah Sadar hospital morgue for post mortem examination. Killer Imtiaz and his family members were absconding since the incident, the police said.
