Nepalese Ambassador in Dhaka Hari Kumar Shrestha called on Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Wednesday at his office here. During the meeting, Noor said that Bangladesh has cultural agreements with 39 countries, including Nepal.
The minister said Nepal is our neighboring country. After our independence in 1971, bilateral relations have been established between the two countries.
Bangladesh exports medicines, garments, plastic goods, and handicrafts to Nepal and we import agricultural commodities from Nepal, Noor added.
Besides, he said, we have opportunity to work with Nepal in the fields of education, health, travel and infrastructure development.
Cultural Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas and Additional Secretary Md Shafiqul Islam were present on the occasion.
