Staff Reporter :
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday provisionally exempted Mohammad Enamul Haque, MP Rajshahi-4, from a graft allegation charge.
The Commission has, however, sent his wealth statement to the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for scrutiny.
ACC Chairman Md Badiuzzaman said that the Commission had sent Enam’s wealth statement to the NBR to confirm whether the wealth was his personal or of the wealth is found to be company’s. “If it is personal, the ACC will file a case against him in future. In case of company, the NBR will decide”.
The Commission, however, decided to keep the complaint in the Ad Interim file.
On September 16, ACC Deputy Director and Investigation Officer Jatan Kumar Roy submitted a probe report to the Commissioner (Inquiry) Dr Nasiruddin Ahmed, seeking his permission to file a case against the MP. After scrutiny, the Commissioner approved it.
