National Bank Limited (NBL), the first local issuing bank of MasterCard in Bangladesh, has launched the Platinum Credit Card at a hotel on Wednesday.
Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury, Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank, inaugurated the card attending the function as chief guest.
Ron Haque Sikder, Director of NBL, Shamsul Huda Khan, Managing Director and Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, MasterCard Bangladesh, Md. Mahbubur Rahman Khan, Independent Director of NBL, Md. Badiul Alam and Abdul Hamid Mia Additional Managing Directors , NBL, Syed Mohammad Bariqullah, DMD, NBL, Mahfuzur Rahman, Executive Vice President and Divisional Head, Card Division, National Bank Limited; Gitanka D Datta, Vice President, MasterCard Bangladesh and other senior officials of National Bank Limited.
The new Platinum Credit Card offers a wide variety of exclusive privileges including “buy-one-get-one” offer for buffet lunch or dinner at Grandiose Restaurant of Dhaka Regency, Free access at Balaka Executive Lounge, Ruposhi Bangla Hotel Bangladesh; Priority Passenger Handling Service in Hajrat Shahjalal International Airport along with three companions, 1 (one) free corporate health check-up at United Hospital, free Card for lifetime and discount offers at over 250 major merchant outlets.
Commenting on the launch of the Card, Mr. Shamsul Huda Khan, Managing Director, National Bank Limited reaffirmed the commitment of National Bank Limited to serve country with technology based services while delivering his speech as President of the event. He said, “We are delighted to be able to provide the world class technology based services to its customers through its different initiatives in coming days by which country will move to cashless transactions at rural areas also since National Bank strongly believes to expand its services for the development of the country”.
