National Social Service Day-2021 was observed in Rangpur on Saturday (January 2) through various arrangements. Md. Asib Ahsan, Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur District inaugurated the National Social Service Day by flying balloons on the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Rangpur at 10:30 am. After that, a discussion meeting and award ceremony were held on the occasion of National Social Service Day in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Rangpur.
Md. Asib Ahsan, Deputy Commissioner, Rangpur was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. PBI Superintendent of Police Mr. AB M Zakir Hossain, Civil Surgeon Dr. were present as special guests on the occasion. Hiramba Kumar Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Md. Golam Rabbani.Mr. Md. Abdul Matin, Deputy Director, District Social Service Office, Rangpur presided over the function. Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan in his keynote address thanked all the members of the Department of Social Services for working for the disadvantaged in the society.
At the same time, he appealed to all concerned to expedite this activity. Later, awards were given on the basis of efficiency among different categories of employees of the Department of Social Services.
