National Rugby Competition begins tomorrow

The Walton Motorcycle 4th National Rugby Competition begins tomorrow at the Paltan Maidan. Bangladesh Rugby Federation will arrange the rugby meet with the financial assistance of Walton.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the seven-day long rugby competition.
Bangladesh Army, Madaripur district, Rangpur district are in Group A, Chittagong district, Bagerhat district, Sirajganj district are in Group B, Dhaka district, Faridpur district, Gazipur district are in Group C, Narail district, Munshiganj district, Pabna district are in Group D.
Regarding this upcoming rugby competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation Mousum Ali, Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Vice-President of the Federation Abdullah Al Jaher Shawpan, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Syed Ahmed were present at the conference.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 5, 27,000 while Walton has given Tk 3,00,000 to Bangladesh Rugby Federation and the Federation will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
The champions will be awarded Tk 20,000 while the runners-up will be given Tk 10,000 as prize-money.
Besides, the Player of the Tournament will get home appliance from Walton.
The rugby meet will be concluded on September 17.
