Nafis Ahmed’s solo photo show begins today

A week-long solo photography exhibition of Gazi Nafis Ahmed titled Innate Identities will begin at Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in the city’s Dhanmondi area today at 6:30pm.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan Mozena, while Dutch Ambassador to Bangladesh Gerben Sjoerd de Jong will be present as chief guest on the occasion.
Country Coordinator of the UN Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Leo Kenny will be present as special, while founding member of VII Photo Agency John Stanmeyer will join the ceremony through a remote connection.
A total of 136 photographs of Nafis will put on display in the exhibition.
This was announced at a press conference held at Bengal Café yesterday where Deputy Director of Bengal Foundation Sadia Rahman, Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, Sr Manager (Programme) of the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, Mezbah Ahmed of Bondhu Social Welfare Society and Gazi Nafis Ahmed spoke in the conference.
