Muktis split points with Feni Soccer in BPL

Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra lost valuable points as they split points with Soccer Club Feni playing out to a 1-1 goal draw in the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League held on Wednesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Muktijoddha came close to a strike in the 8th minute but Zahed Parvez’s volley from the middle of the box went past the side post.
However the freedom fighters went ahead in the 32nd minute through their Nigerian forward Agbulu Inalegwu. It was an opportunistic strike as Agbulu’s compatriot Nkwocha Kingsley’s volley was punched by Feni Soccer goalie M Nehal, but nearby standing Agbulu headed the ball home (1-0).
Muktis lead lasted a little as Feni Soccer bounced back to restore the parity in the 37th minute. Striker Akbar Hossain Ridon headed capitalizing on a corner kick from Ali Hasan corner from the near post net (1- 1).
Muktijoddha compiled considerable pressure in the second half but Nkwocha Kingsley wasted two easy chances in the 22nd and 28th minutes.
In the 81st minute Nkwocha Kingley went past the Feni Soccer defecne but Nehal dived into his feet as Nkwocha lost control however Muktijoddha midfielder Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan blasted the ball over the open net.
After the day’s feat, Muktijoddha secured 12 points from eight matches while Soccer Club Feni bagged 4 points from the same number of outings.
