Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has called upon the government officials to study the direction of the regime of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“They should research on the direction of the regime of Bangabandhu as he had not only made the country independent, but also gave full guidance on how the country could be established as a developed and dignified nation,” he said.
The minister made the call while addressing a seminar on ‘Bangabandhu and Liberation War’, organized by the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) at Savar.
He said Bangabandhu was not only a charismatic leader, but was also unique as an administrator and a diplomat.
He said the members of the Allied forces during the Second World War are still stationed in different countries, but Bangabandhu sent back the members of the Indian Allied Forces in just 3 months.
He said Bangabandhu rebuilt the war-torn country in a short span of time, formulated one of the best constitutions in the world and held a general election then (during his tenure).
He(Bangabandhu) took initiatives for education, health as well as research, and even for acquiring technical skills, Mozammel said, adding that for this, he set up a Satellite Earth Station at Betbunia.
He added that if Bangabandhu was alive, Bangladesh would have developed long ago.
The seminar was attended by officials of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center and Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS)officials who are undergoing basic training.
Besides, Selina Hossain, a senior novelist, senior officials of the Cabinet Division and the Ministry of Public Administration, and trainees from various government training centers including National Defense College, BCS Administration Academy, Bangladesh Rural Development Academy, National Planning Development Academy and BIAM Foundation participated in the seminar.
Syed Mizanur Rahman, Member Directing Staff (MDS) of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre conducted the seminar.
