King Salman of Saudi Arabia’s gift food items were distributed among 1,000 helpless and distressed families at the Goaldi Government Primary School ground on Monday through mayoral candidate Chagir Ahmed.
Sonargaon Municipality mayoral candidate and former Dhaka College BCL president Chagir Ahmed organized the distribution of the food items.
The food items included 10 kg of rice, 6 kg of pulses, 3 kg of sugar, 3 kg of soybean oil and 1 kg of salt. The sons of Nanupuri Huzur assisted in the distribution of food items to the King of Saudi in Sonargaon Municipality.
Sonargaon Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Atiqul Islam, Sonargaon Police Station OC Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, Al Manahil Welfare Foundation CEO Farid Uddin bin Jamir Uddin, Hassan, Khaili, members of the Saudi delegation to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center were present.
