Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi Bir Pratik said, “Owners will love workers, workers will love machines. This kind of environment is the magic of running a factory very well. A jute tree made by a farmer is not just a tree, it is a dollar. Jute is now the most valuable commodity in our economy. The more jute products are exported, the more US dollars will come to the country.”
The Minister said this while addressing a view exchange meeting after inspecting the KFD Jute Mill allotted to the private sector at Rangunia in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Responding to reporters after the visit, the Jute Minister said, “The whole world is now taking various eco-friendly initiatives. Plastic has been banned in various countries. Plastic has also been banned in our country. 53 proposals were received from 18 national and international organizations. We will also give these 15 matches to the private sector by checking and selecting the proposals within the shortest possible time.”
