Bangla Academy has conferred ‘Rabindra Award-2018’ on researcher Abul Momen and singer Fahim Hossain Chowdhury.
Abul Momen got the award in recognition to his researches on Tagore while Fahim Hossain Chowdhury for practicing Rabindra Sangeet (songs).
Bangla Academy Chairman Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman and Director General Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan handed over the award to them at a function on Monday.
Bangla Academy organized the function at its Abdul Karim Sahityabisharad Auditorium in the evening, marking the 157th birth anniversary of great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
