Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) is establishing a Shishu Park named after Sheikh Russel, aiming to fulfill the recreational needs of children residing in the city.
The Sheikh Russel Park will be set up in Chhoto Bangram area at a cost of around Taka 4.43 crore with various modern rides including bridge, open stage, walk ways, artificial hill and full-proof security, reports BSS.
RCC Ward Councilors Towhidul Haque Sumn and Abdul Hamid Sarker Tekan and Chief Engineer Shariful Islam opened the construction work of the park on Saturday.
After inaugurating the construction work they said the park, after completion, will contribute a lot towards physical and mental development of children.
In addition to children, the park will benefit people of all ages.
