Mr Mokabbir Khan, the Central Executive President of the Gano Forum, congratulated four MPs of Bangladeshi origin who were elected by a huge vote in the newly concluded Britain’s national elections.
In a congratulatory message, Mr. Mokabbir Khan MP said that by being elected as a member of the House of Commons by the people’s vote, they have highlighted the faces of Bangladeshi Diaspora swells around the world, not just in Britain’s immigrant community. At the same time, they have established the dignity of homeland Bangladesh in the court of the world. He said Rushnara Ali was elected for the fourth time and Tulip Siddique and Rupa Haque were elected MPs for the third time.This time, they are joined by another young politician Apsana Begum.
Mokabbir Khan MP expressed optimism that the four Bangladeshi-born MPs in the House of Commons, the centre of democracy, will play a role in strengthening Britain’s historical relationship with Bangladesh.
He said Bangladesh had bilateral trade relations with Britain after Brexit due to having four Bangladeshi-born MPs in the British Parliament and “I believe that it will be much easier for the Bangladesh government to utilize 100 percent of the potential for transmitting manpower.”
