Mohammed Nasim still in ‘very critical state’

Former Health Minister and Awami League MP Mohammed Nasim’s health condition is still in very critical state.
“The health condition of the former health minister remains unchanged and he is now in very critical state,” Kanak Kanti Barua, Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and also the chief of medical board formed to oversee the treatment of Mohammed Nasim, told journalists.
The former health minister has been infected with Covid-19 and later suffering a stroke.
He went into a “deep coma” as his condition deteriorated further last night. He is undergoing treatment at the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital’s Shyamoli.
Earlier, Mohammed Nasim’s son Tanvir Shakil Joy, told journalists that his father had undergone a successful surgery after suffering a stroke.
On June 1, Mohammed Nasim was admitted to the hospital after falling sick. Later, he tested positive of Covid-19.
