The body of a minor boy, who fell into a canal in the capital’s Basabo area, was recovered on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Asadul, 4.
Ershad Hossain, Duty Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters, said that the minor boy went missing after falling into Manda canal around 3:30pm on Sunday.

Ershad Hossain, Duty Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters, said that the minor boy went missing after falling into Manda canal around 3:30pm on Sunday.
Being informed from local people, two units of
the fire service rushed to the spot and conducted the search for the boy till midnight. They resumed their search again in the morning and recovered the body, said the official.
To be noted, another minor boy, who fell into a canal in the capital’s Kadamtoli area on Saturday and since remained missing.
