A group of miscreants have kidnapped six villagers in Ruma Upazila of Bandarban recently. Among the six, five abducted people are Basi Ong Marma, 30, Hlamong Marma, 49, Mong Geing Marma, 32, Chingthoai Marma, 54, and Thoai Marma, 62.
Local people of Samakhal Para said a group of 10 to 12 armed men entered the village in the afternoon and searched for Sadar Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Shoi Mong Marma. After failing to find him, those men abducted six people from there.Shoi Mong said he informed the matter to law enforcers. Ruma Police Station OC Abul Kashem confirmed the matter.
