A 13-year-old girl was raped by a youth for 22 days after she was abducted from Hemu Namashudrapara area in Jaintapur upazila.
A case was filed with Jaintapur Police Station against the rapist, Ratindra Namashudra, 21, son of
Patal Namashudra of Jayda village in Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj district, and Bijoy Namashudra, 30, son of late Suresh Namashudra of Hemu Namashudrapara, on Wednesday.
According to the case statement, Ratindra, who used to work as a domestic help at Bijoy’s house in the locality, allegedly abducted the victim on November 9 with the help of his employer.
Later, Ratindra kept the minor girl confined to different places in the area and raped her for 22 days.
On Monday, the victim managed to flee from her confinement and returned to her house on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, victim’s brother Ananta Biswas filed the case with Jaintapur Police Station accusing the duo.
