CDA coordination meet held: Minister expresses satisfaction over ongoing water-logging project

The second meeting of the monitoring committee on Water-logging Mega Project of Chattogram Development Authority was held at CDA Conference Hall on Sunday with its Chairman Abdus Salam in the chair.
Minister for Housing and Public Works Engr. Mosharraf Hossain attended the meeting as Chief Guest.
 Witnessing the ongoing works of the water-logging mega projects of Tk5,500 crores , the Minister expressed satisfaction .
The minister hailed the work progress so conducting by the Bangladesh Army Engineering core.
He said if this trend of work is undergo, the city dwellers of the Chattogram City will get their desired results by two or three years.
The minister said Prime Minister is very much cordial with the development of Chattogram and hence this mega project taken in hand.
CDA chairman said out of the total budget of the project, we have started only one person work out of that and the dwellers sighting some results out of the work of one percent.
He called upon the city dwellers to cooperate the works of the contractors so as to be completed with desired goal.
He also urged for patients of facing miseries for some times during undergoing mega projects work.
 Superintending Engineer of City Corporation Rafiqul Islam also mentioned about the excavations of 36 khals within the city whereas he said in master plan of WASA , there are 57 khals.
He emphasised to enclosed the remaining khals excavations in DPP device.
Representatives from CWASA, Chattagram Port, Water Development Board, PDB, Bangladesh Army, spoke on the occasion.
