Mild heat wave likely to continue

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted that the ongoing mild heat wave would continue while weather would remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal Divisions and the regions of Sitakunda, Rangamati, M.Court, Feni, Rajshahi and Pabna, and it may continue,” said a Met Office bulletin issued here.
Rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty wind, may occur at one or two places over Sylhet and Mymensingh Divisions.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise by 1 to 2 degree Celsius over the country, the bulletin said.
