Met Office forecasts rain for next three days

Dhaka city experienced heavy rainfall early Tuesday morning. Rainfall brought a soothing relief to the city dwellers who were suffering scorching heat for than two weeks.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast that rain or thundershower is likely to continue for the next 72 hours or three days.
The Met Office also forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places over the country in the next 24 hours starting at 9:00am on Tuesday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Chattogram, Khulna and Barishal with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The maximum temperature in the country on Tuesday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while minimum temperature is 19.0 degrees Celsius at Dimla in Rangpur.
The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6:00 am today was recorded at 75 mm in Mymensingh.
The sun sets at 6:32pm on Tuesday and rises at 5:18am on Wednesday in Dhaka.
