Mehreen renders new song ‘Live on Earth’

Popular pop singer Mehreen Mahmud has lent her voice to
a new song titled ‘Live on Earth.’ Sujan Hajong has
written the lyrics of the song. Tuned by Belal Khan, the music of the song has been arranged by Waheed Shaheen.
The song was recorded at a studio in the capital’s Moghbazar area last Thursday marking a three-day international conference on environment.
Through the song ‘Live on Earth’ Mehreen lent her voice to any environment related song. The song is also her first English song.
While talking about the song, its lyricist Sujan Hajong said, “The song has been written based on recently happened Amazon rainforest wildfires. I have talked about the consequence of climate change, global warming and the protection of biodiversity in the song. I hope the audience will get a message about the awareness on environmental protection after listening the song.”
Mehreen shared her feelings by this way, “This is a unique and enthusiastic experience for me. I’m amazed and proud to sing the English song. It touched my heart. The tune of this song is amazing and the lyrics are captivating. I believe everyone will enjoy this song.”
The song was aired last Friday at the inaugural ceremony of three-day international conference on environment titled ‘Environmental Protection in the Sustainable Development’ at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University as the theme song, Mehreen also said.
