District Commandant and Commander of Netrakona 25 Ansar Battalion Mohammad Mehedi Hasan was awarded President Ansar Medal (PAM) for his outstanding service and bravery this year.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina adorned Hasan, a Deputy Director of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, along with 118 more with PAM and Bangladesh Ansar Medal (BAM) at 37th National Rally at Ansar-VDP Academy in Gazipur on February 12.
Hasan, a 25th batch BCS cadre, joined Ansar as assistant district commandant in 2006 and now been attached to newly formed Ansar Striking Force based in capital’s Bhatara area as its operational commander. He observed duty with five battalions and two district commands so far and conducted training programmes at Ansar-VDP Academy as deputy director and trainer on handling weapons.
Hasan also worked with Special Security Force (SSF) at Prime Minister’s Office for three years from 2008.
