UNB, Dhaka :
Inspector general of police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque on Saturday said the killing of top ‘Neo JMB’ leader Nurul Islam Marzan, the ‘mastermind’ of Gulshan terror attack, will not affect the case in this regard. “Now we’ve enough information …most militants involved in the attack have been arrested while others killed in gunfights with law enforcers,” the IGP said.
The police chief said this while talking to reporters after attending an international conference on the rise
of Islamic State organised by the Department of Criminology of Dhaka University at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus. He also said Marzan was involved in militant attacks carried out in Dhaka and Sholakia in Kishoreganj. Marzan and his associate Saddam were killed in a gunfight with members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) at Beribadh in the city’s Mohammadpur area early Friday.
