Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Saturday said that the list of Martyred Intellectuals will be published next year.
“We have gathered 300 names as martyred intellectuals. We are scrutinising those names. The complete list of the martyred intellectuals will be published any day next year,” the minister said it while paying tributes at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial at Rayerbazar in the capital.
The minister said that those intellectuals were the cream of our homeland. The enemies killed them during the liberation war to cripple the newly born nation culturally.
He urged the youths to carry on the ideals of those people.
The Minister said that Chowdhury Mainuddin and Ashrafuzzaman Khan, the killers of Intellectuals would be brought back to the country to execute the court’s verdict delivered against them.
“For some legal obstacles, the process is being delayed. But we are trying to bring them back,” the minister said.
