Manarat achieves Cambridge outstanding awards

For achieving excellence in the O-Level and A-Level examinations, British Council has awarded six students of Manarat Dhaka International School and College. Recently, the Speaker of the Parliament, Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, MP distributed the certificates among the awardees at Hotel Westin in the city. In the O-Levels and A-Levels examinations held in this year June 2016, a total of sixty-one students from Bangladesh have been awarded. Among them, fourteen students have got the honor of achieving world’s highest marks and thirty eight have got the highest marks in Bangladesh in different subjects. In the A-Levels, two students of the AS class have been awarded. Among the awardees, Mehrin Tasfia Shawkat and Noshin Faiyrooz have achieved world’s highest marks in Mathematics. Mehrin Tasfia Shawkat has also achieved the highest marks in Physics in Bangladesh.
Four students of Manarat are awarded in the O-Levels. Among them, Adrika Khan and Wasir Muhammad Rumi achieved the glory of getting world’s highest marks in Additional Mathematics. On the other hand, Raiyan Ishrak Ahsan and Samiha Afaf Neha got High Achievement Awards respectively in Geography and Islamiyat.
Parents, along with the students, were also present in the award-giving ceremony. Among others, the Principal of the College, Brig Gen (Retd) Md Mehdi Hassan Pramanik, psc (Retd), Vice Principal, Fatima Jemaima Rahman and O-Level Co-ordinator, Tahmina Yeasmeen,were also present.
