Man killed over land dispute in Srimangal

 One person was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between two rival groups over land dispute in Noysree village under Srimangal Upazila of Moulvibazar at 10 am on Wednesday.
The decreased was identified as Jarif Miah, 45, a resident of Noysree village under Srimangal Upazila of Moulvibazar district.
The injured, 11 were admitted to Srimangal Upazila Health Complex, Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital including serious injured Jarif. Later Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital duty doctor declared Jafir to dead.
Police quoted locals as saying that two groups of Noysree village–one led by Sufian Ahmed and the other by Lukman Miah locked in a clash when they talk to each other’s Wednesday morning.
The rival groups equipped with lethal weapons swooped on each other and 10 others injured from both sides.
Contacted, Mahbubur Rahman, officer in-charge of Srimangal Police Station, said, police went to spot, dispersed the clashing group.
Additional forces have been deployed in the area to avert any untoward incidents, added the OC.
