Police recovered the body of a man from Khamarpara village in Gobindaganj upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Khalek, son of Chandu Miah, a resident of Haripur village of the upazila. Officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station Mojammel Haque said locals spotted the body of Khalek lying in the area in the morning and informed police.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Gaibandha Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
