A man allegedly beat his wife to death over money-related dispute in Alipur village under Harbang union in Chakaria upazila of the district on Monday morning.
The victim was identified as Taslima Jannat, 20, wife of Osman Gony, son of Abu Taher Mistry of the village.
Osman asked Taslima to give some money. But, as she refused to give, Osman beat her and she died after some time at 1:30pm. Soon after this, Osman fled from the spot.
