A one-year old boy was killed after being hit by a sonic boom caused by thunderbolt in Baluigasa village of sadar upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Bilal Hossain, son of Md Ibrahim Hossain Khokon of the village.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Maruf Ahmed said the child died on the way to nearby hospital after fell sick hearing the sound of lightning strike.
