US Ambassador in Dhaka Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat on Thursday expressed shock over the incidents of sexual assault on women on the Dhaka University campus during the Pahela Baishakh celebrations. “Appalled to learn about 20 women [were] assaulted during Pohela Boishakh celebration at Dhaka University. Let’s act to stop violence against women,” the US envoy tweeted.
