Abul Layes Afsary has been recently promoted as General Manager of Sonali Bank Limited and joined its head office, says a press release.
Prior, he served as Deputy General Manager of Foreign Remittance Management Division of the Bank.
He joined Sonali bank Limited as senior officer on probation in 1984. Abul Layes Afsary completed his honors and masters degree on psychology from the University of Dhaka.
He served as head of different divisions of head office of the bank and its different division including Sonali Exchange Company in Brooklyn and Atlanta in United States of America as manager.
He took part in different training programmes, seminars and workshops on banking issues in home and abroad. He hails from a respective Muslim Family of Sadar upazila in Laxmipur district.
