The lawmakers would like to build a museum inside the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban to preserve the history and tradition of Bangladesh parliamentary democracy.
In this regard, a suggestive meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Deputy Speaker Advocate Md Fazle Rabbi Mia in the chair.
In the meeting, various issues related to set up the museum including place, theme, presentation and use of technology of the museum were discussed.
Deputy Speaker said there are many museums centering the parliament in different countries. “Lokshaba of neighbouring India has also a rich museum. So that if we can build a museum in our Sangsad Bhaban, it will enrich our parliament,” he said.
The museum will help to give a clear view of Bangladesh culture, history and tradition to countrymen as well as foreign visitors.
With the consent of the Speaker, the meeting decided to form a committee comprising with experts for implementing the museum project.
Senior Secretary of Parliament Secretary M Ashraful Mokbul was present.
