Edumaker Laptop Fair 2015 witnessed a huge gathering on weekend Friday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city. The fair is particularly very popular among the students as the brand laptop companies are providing at least 10 per cent discount from the original price.
The three-day long was kicked off on Thursday, organized by Expo Maker and this is the 16th Laptop Fair by this firm.
Friday was the second day of the fair. It was also crowded on the beginning day on Thursday, according to the organizer. Already visitors are thronging at the venue to check out the latest gadgets at the best deals, they said.
“Gathering of students is huge because they want to purchase a laptop with low cost and the fair is the platform for them”, they said.
Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Sony, TwinMS, HTC, Logitech, Xiaomi etc are the brand laptop companies. They are displaying their latest products and providing discount.
The fair has 7 pavilions, 13 mini pavilions and 49 stalls where both manufacturers and retailers are showcasing the latest gadgets and tech innovations. Four workshops and seminars on tech as well as a gaming competition have been lined up for the duration of the event.
Moreover, there are also be exciting offers and discounts on laptops and other devices for the buyers throughout the duration of the fair.
The ticket has been set at Tk. 30. However, students who show their school ID card or are in school uniform can enter for free. Entry is free for disabled people as well.
Besides, the money earned from ticket sales will be donated for the treatment of Latiful Haque, Sub Editor of Kaler Kontho who is suffering from leukaemia.
