The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) is collaborating with Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan to present a three-day international trade fair in the southeastern Pakistani port city of Karachi.
Uzair Nazim, vice president of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan, told Xinhua on Saturday that the 19th Textile Asia trade fair will be run from March 27 to 29 at the Karachi Expo Center, and over 2,000 foreign delegates are expected to take part in the big event.
PRGMEA Chairman Shaikh Mohammad Shafiq said the basic aim of the expo is to provide value addition to Pakistan’s textile industry to help it increase its exports of value-added textile and garment products.
He said “The Textile Asia is the only UFI (Paris) approved textile trade fair in South Asia, which showcases immense buying and selling potential of textile, garment and allied industries and is poised to introduce overseas suppliers of textile and garment materials, accessories and parts and machinery to the textile and garment industry of Pakistan and complement their efforts for high quality, value-added products and assist them to further develop their business in the export markets.”
The three-day Textile Asia Trade Fair is regarded as the biggest B2B textile, garment, embroidery, digital printing machinery, and chemical and allied services fair in the South Asian region.
