Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani released in 2012 which was followed by the sequel of the film in 2016, Kahaani 2. Both the films were appreciated by the audience as well as the critics and went on to become box-office hits.
Directed by ace filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, these two suspense-thrillers have stayed in the hearts and minds of the viewers, even years after its release.
Our sources have informed us that a prequel of the film is in the making, which has Abhishek Bachchan playing a grey character.
The prequel however, will not be directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
His daughter Diya Ghosh will be making her feature film directorial debut with it.
Diya’s first short film Neighbourhood Ties was immensely appreciated last year and even got selected to be screened during the Cannes Film Festival.
