Vitamins are required for the utilisation of the major nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Minerals are necessary for the nerve and muscle functions.
Fruits juices contain substantial amount of biologically active non-nutrient compounds called phytochemicals. These protective components use various beneficial roles in the body.
Natural VS Commercial
Fruit juice is often seen as a healthy choice. However, most commercial brands contain just as much sugar as sugary soda. They also lack the fiber .The market is absolutely flooded with synthetic or commercial juices or drinks. Bottled juices available in stores have lost most of their life-giving enzymes, the nutritional properties have been largely compromised and they often contain added colorings and refined sugars.
Most of the bottled juices that are available in supermarkets, and even health food stores, have been pasteurised in an effort to eliminate harmful bacteria. Unfortunately, the process of pasteurising includes subjecting fresh juices to extremely high temperatures. There are valuable enzymes, phytonutrients and other nutritional compounds that are destroyed with the addition of heat.
On the other hand, fresh fruit juices are rich in antioxidant nutrients that help strengthen body’s natural defenses. Natural fresh fruit juices are a perfect food supplement. They are far more powerful and tasty than the isolated nutrients found in vitamin pills.
