Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Prof Dr. Farzana Islam on Tuesday inaugurated the four-day Jahangirnagar University Day programmes marking the 45th founding anniversary of the varsity.
The VC inaugurated the function by hoisting the National Flag and University Flag on the premises of Business Studies Faculty at about 10.00am.
Conducted by JU Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique, Pro-VC Prof Dr. Abul Hossain and Treasurer Prof Dr. Abul Khair addressed the inaugural session, among others.
However, the university was decorated with different kind of banners and festoons and illuminated with colorful light.
The four-day programme includes puppet show and cultural function on January 13, Pitha Mela and staging drama on January 14 at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha.
and raffle draw, grand lunch and concert marking the Alumni Day on January 15 at the same venue.
The JU started its academic activities on January 12, 1971.
