A case was filed on Tuesday against 13 people in connection with the killing of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) leader Imsail Hossain Panjer.
Victim’s son Abdullah Al Mamun Mitul filed the case with Mirpur Police Station in the morning.
However, police neither disclosed the names of the accused nor arrested any of them.
Panjer was shot to death and Shafiqul Islam, 50, general secretary of ward-9 unit Awami League of Poradah union, injured in a gun attack by miscreants at Ahmedpur Bazar in Mirpur upazila on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the slain JSD leader was buried at a local graveyard at Ahmedpur following a namaz-e-janaza at Ahmedpur Govt Primary School ground on Tuesday afternoon.
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, also JSD chief, attended the janaza.
Besides, a bullet that hit Shafique was removed from his body following an operation at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
