Leaders of the Jatiya Samajtanrik Dal (JSD) faction led by Hasanul Haq Inu on Thursday demanded immediate arrest and punitive actions against the people involved in the abductions and killings of seven people in Naryangong.
The leaders of the JSD, an ally of the Awami League led alliance, raised the demand at a human chain protest in the city.
The Dhaka City unit of JSD formed the human chain in front of its central office protesting against what they said conspiracy of identified anti-state force, terrorism, murder
and anarchy. In her speech, JSD presidium member Shirin Akhter, MP, who was the chief guest at the human chain programme, demanded immediate arrest and also punishment of the criminals, including the dismissed Rab officers, suspected to be involved in the seven killings in Naryangonj.
She termed BNP Chairperson Khaleda’s demand for disbanding the elite force as illogical and motivated.
