Jessore Correspondent :
Kotwali police on Thursday afternoon arrested 11 construction workers while they were working to make the basement of a building owned by Rashed Ahmed, an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir at Gaidgachhi under Jessore sadar upazila.
Ilias Hossain, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told Newsmen that the police picked up 11 construction workers and seized some bomb making equipment while they were making a 38 feet long, 11 feet width and 8 feet depth ‘den’ of Jamaat- Shibir. ‘No Jamaat- Shibir men, however, were arrested,’ he added, ‘the building could be extended upwards.’
Locals, however, told that recovering of bomb making materials is illogical. No such equipment were found there. It was done to make a sequence over the forthcoming union council election.
