Miscreants shot at a local Chhatra Dal leader and made him critically injured in the Cumilla city on Saturday night.
The injured has been identified as Shahidullah Liton, 27. He was the President of Sonaimuri Municipality Unit of Chhatra Dal and son of one Md Hanif.

Municipality Unit of BNP confirmed the incident to media that Liton went to his house at Gabindapur around 9pm by a CNG run auto-rickshaw.
Suddenly, some miscreants picked up Liton in their microbus just after he got down from the auto-rickshaw.
They took Liton at Bipulashor covering his face. There they clubbed him and shot his leg. Later, the miscreants threw Liton from the car around 11:30pm.
Local people rescued Liton and rushed him to a local hospital.
