Aninda Islam Amit, BNP nominated candidate for Jashore-3 Constituency, at a press conference, told that he was in panic about his life due to repeated attacks on his campaigners.
Amit came up with such feeling at the press conference held at Jashore Press Club on Saturday noon.
In the press conference, he told that the police rounded up 45 of his election campaigners and filed two new cases against his men under Jashore – 3 constituency in last two days. ‘A driver of a publicity vehicle was hit in the head with a harmful object on Friday,’ he added.
The police were arresting his campaigners from Kachua, Narendrapur, Kashimpur, Ramnagar, Lebutala, Churamankathi and many other places without any provocation, said Amit.
The press conference was attended among others by Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, General Secretary, Jashore district unit BNP, Delwar Hossain Khokon, organising secretary, Mizanur Rahman Khan, joint secretary and other leaders.
