Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima on Tuesday expressed profound sorrow for the victims of the launch capsize in the Padma River near Mawa ferry ghat on Monday.
“On behalf of the government of Japan and the people of Japan, I would like to express my deepest condolence to the victims and the bereaved families,” he said in a condolence message.
The Japanese envoy hoped that the ongoing rescue efforts will trace as many missing people as possible.
