Jalaler Golpo goes to Busan

Promising director Abu Shahed Emon’s film “Jalaler Golpo” will be showcased at the New Currents category of Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.
A total of 12 films from 10 countries will be featured in the segment of the festival which will take place from 2 to 11 October in Busan.
Apart from Bangladesh, films of Philippine, South Korea, Lebanon, Japan, China, Iran, Taiwan, India and Iraq have also been nominated in the competition.
The film previously won the Asian Cinema Fund. Made under the banner of Boutique Cinema Project, an initiative of Impress Telefilm, the cast of the film includes Mosharraf Karim, Moushumi Hamid and Toukir Ahmed. “Jalaler Golpo” portrays the story of a rootless child Jamal and his struggles throughout life to become a man with a standing in society. – Agency
