Ishwardi Puja Udjapan Parishad protests torture on minorities

A human chain, rally and demonstration was held at Gate No. 1 of Prankendra Bazar in Ishwardi town on Monday morning organized by Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad Ishwardi Upazila branch to protest against the torture on minority in Shalla.
Speakers at the meeting said that despite the incidents of attacks on minority communities, land grabbing, looting of houses, arson, vandalism of temples and idols, no exemplary punishment is given. That is why the communal evil forces are committing misdeeds again and again. In order to prevent the torture on minorities, the rally demanded special laws to be enacted in the National Assembly immediately and speedy justice be ensured. The meeting was presided over by Sunil Chakraborty, President of Puja Udjapan Parishad.
Speaking at the rally were Ishwardi Press Club President Swapan Kumar Kundu, Uma Shankar Babu Pandey of Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Unity Parishad, Milon Karmakar of Puja Udjapan Parishad, Dr. Sujoy Kundu, Parthapratim Das of Oikya Parishad, Harekrishna Samprader, Dipankar Kumar is prominent. Conducted by Gopal Adhikari of Hindu Mahajot.
Leaders of various local temple committees and well-wishers participated in the human chain and protest rally.
