The Cricket Ireland (CI) said they won’t play the second and final T20 match against Bangladesh Emerging team, scheduled to be held on March 17, in a bid to fly back home early. The Covid-19 related restrictions in Ireland about their transit country on the flight back home forced them to cut short the tour. Cricket Ireland said in a statement that both boards-the CI and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had agreed to the change in the itinerary, which originally had two T20 matches scheduled for March 17 and 18.
