An international conference was held at Chittagong University on Thursday to mourn the 4th death anniversary of emeritus Professor Dr Jamal Nazrul Islam. To mark the day, Dr Jamal Nazrul Islam math and geology research center hold the conference.
With Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury as the Chief Guest, Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr Shirin Akhtar, science faculty dean prof Dr Shafiul Alam, former director of research center Prof Dr M Mansur Chowdhury, Dr Jamal Nazrul Islam’s wife Prof Dr Suraya Islam addressed here.
Side by side, East Delta University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Sikandar Khan, International Islamic University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ajhar Islam, CU Math-department Prof Dr Mohammad Ashraful Islam and Jerin Khan among others also addressed the conference.
Prof Dr Anjon Kumar Chowdhury, Director of the Research Center and Chief Coordinator of the conference-implementation committee chaired the conference while Dr Mainul Huq Miahjee, Member Secretary of the committee conducted the conference.
Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury said, Prof Dr Jamal Nazrul was the beacon of knowledge for the researchers and teachers. His creatives and ideology will be survived decades after decades.
