The International Day of Non-Violence 2020 was observed on Friday in Lama with the help of local and international NGOs, said a press release.
On the occasion, a procession, led by Lama Mayor Md Johirul Islam, was brought out in the lama town which ended after parading different hilly streets.
A discussion was also held at the municipality auditorium. Union Parishad Chairman Minto Kumar Sen, ICT teacher Md Farid Ul Alam, president of Lama Municipality unit Mohila Awami League Unucha Marma and journalist Nurul Karim Arman were present, among others.
Speakers in the meeting urged people to stay away from malice, jealousy and conflict for the sustainability of the world.
